Ali--Dave is pretending that there are only shoes in the coffin so he doesn't feel so sad about throwing down the dirt. I'm glad you're reading DAVE AT NIGHT!
hello dear gail
I am reading your book "dave at night"
there was a sentence in it wich I didnt
understand even after serch web and searching the web and online dictionaries.
this is the sentence:( dave at night page 10)
"The coffin held a pair of huge shoes. It didnt matter throwing dirt on sheos."
now what is a coofin shoe?
thank you for your time reading my question.
and by the way I love the way you show that good things can happen to an orphaned kid.
yours
