Dear Mrs. Levine;

I'm finding myself amazed at reading some of the entries above - all these strangers calling you by your first name!

I am obviously old, in my thirties, and the mother of children who love your books. I just want to thank you for nice, clean, funny books. I hope this does not offend, but to me, you are the Beverly Cleary of the age. Everything of hers is safe for young eyes, but entertaining & often informative as well. Yours are too! We love your books.

Dear Gail,
I have recently reread "Two Princesses of Bamarre". The poem extracts through out the book are amazing, and I was wondering whether it was a real poem. I would love to know the name and author if it is real. :-)
Thanks!! And you are a phenomenal writer!

Hi Gail!
I attended a library conference last fall on Long Island, and tyou were one of the guest speakers.You were fantastic!

I'm a Children's Librarian at the Great Neck Library. Next April, we will be holding our third annual Great Neck Kids Read event. It is a community-wide reading event which takes place over a two week period. We highlight a children's book, create programs around its theme, and invite the author to discuss the book and their writing experience. Johanna Hurwitz was our guest author last year, and recently invited Sue Corbett to discuss Free Baseball. I'd love to highlight Ella Enchanted for next year's event, and have you as our guest speaker. I know the children in our community would love to meet you and hear about your writing experience. Would you be able to fit us into your busy schedule?
Love all of your novels!

Hi! It's me agin, because I love your writing so much.
I need advice. I wrote the first draft of a book about a girl who falls down her laundry chute and ends up in the medieval times, where there is still magic in the world. She meets a boy named Shel who promises to get her back home. Other characters are a talking cat named China, a mysterious stranger named Cedric, and a murderer who goes by the name of Isaac. DO you have any tips about coming up with titles?
Thanks,
Squid B-)
