Poetry competition for teens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s late notice, but this just arrived in my email box from a fellow NYU alum:<\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m judging this year&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hippocrates-poetry.org\/news\/press-releases-2\/1st-march-deadline-for-2018.html\">Hippocrates Young Poets Prize for Poetry and Medicine<\/a>, an international award open to poets aged\u00a014-18\u00a0for a poem on\u00a0a medical theme.\u00a0If you\u00a0 teach high school students or have teens of your own\u00a0who write poetry, I hope you&#8217;ll encourage them to submit.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The deadline is March 1, 2018 and the prize is a whopping\u00a0\u00a3500 (~$700)!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For more information and to enter, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/hippocrates-poetry.org\/\">http:\/\/hippocrates-poetry.org\/<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t qualify&#8211;or write poems, but you know someone who does, please spread the word.
